I didn’t notice it right away before work and when I got home I noticed he was still in his hut. Long story short the thread cut his circulation, when I found him he has chewed off all 4 fingers (no blood anywhere) and I rushed to the vet.

You could put a cotton ball with neosporin on the injured part and wrap it up with VetWrap - a LOT easier than gauze, and self-sticking.
