Not deeper, just more. They spec 1.7i down to 40 hz. But my ADS L880 or Ohm C2 are spec about the same. The 1.7is don't sound as deep, IME. It increases bass from about 300 to 80 hz, roughly.* This adds weight and impact to lower Mids, upper bass and top of the mid bass. It doesn't do anything at all to lower bass IMO. IOW, it does not in any way overlap with the Subs. I really love my DWMs.
