WebI pretty much only used cosmetic change mods, so it didn't complain about their lack when I started it up. I went from level ~30 to level ~60 without noticing, due to helmet, that my character now has no eyes at all. Just gaping eye sockets. WebFace ripper doesn’t work properly on her for whatever reason. I designed my followers in flat fallout 4... then made sure the hair and eye mods I used in regular fallout were installed in VR. Then transferred over the their faces. Even made a custom Heather Casdin which came out awesome. Just make a character in fo4 using the preset you want.
