Pink-footed geese are arguably the most important wintering bird species, when it comes to assessing the potential ecological effects of development in parts of Merseyside and West Lancashire. WebbPink-footed geese have a wingspan measuring 135–170 cm, weigh 2.2-2.7 kg and have a total body length of 60-75 cm. They are most well known for the pink coloration on their feet. These individuals have a grey-brown plumage, white tails, short white coloration on the edge of their necks and small pink bills with black tips.
