The model identifies learning objectives and structures learning and assessment around these. Its focus on learning outcomes and uses a systematic approach to curriculum design. Webbreflection as a cognitive process – ‘the active, persistent and careful considera - tion of any belief or supposed form of knowledge in the light of the grounds that support it and the further conclusions to which it tends’ (1933: 9) – indi-cates some of the basic characteristics that underpin almost all models and theories of reflection.
